Logolog (@logolog) is a logo design blog focusing on wit and lateral thinking in logo design. The logos featured here made me smile and wish I had thought of them first! I like it when logos take me by surprise, either with unexpected associations or playful ideas.

Enjoy.

The Skulic identity is a spot on concept with spotty execution. But that’s the idea.

“The challenge was to design a visual identity that would emphasise precision but at the same time stay true to the far-from-spotless reality of the workshop that manufactures parts for the shipbuilding industry. Thus we created an identity that combines tools found in the workshop and printed materials that remind of photocopied blueprints used in client’s everyday work.”

Nina and Martina of Cipmann, which reads like “tzipmann”, were very kind to provide plenty of drafts and application examples. Enjoy.
