After moving from Florence to Bologna I met Luca Rapuano, a guy who would only ever use Avant Garde, Futura, Bodoni or Helvetica in his projects. Luca helped me understand the basics of graphic design and on example of the ED logo, explained me how to design logo marks. At the time, Luca worked in the studio of Gianni Bortolotti, who is the designer of ED – “Elettro Domestici“, “Home Appliances” in English.

I loved the logo and I wanted to post it here for a long time, but I also wanted get hold of some drafts from the design process. Sadly, Gianni died and shortly after Studio Bortolotti shut down in 2007.
